How to setup OpenVPN connection on Windows Vista?

1Download OpenVPN GUI from the official site:
- OpenVPN GUI
- After download is complete, start installer:

On first screen, click "Next":

2Click on "I agree" button:

3Click on "Next" button without any changes on components list:

4Click on "Install":

5If you have the following message, press "Install" button:

6Now click on "Next" button:

7On the final screen, please select "Start OpenVPN GUI" and press "Finish" button:

8In this stage, OpenVPN GUI is installed on your PC. Please login using provided credentials in our client area, you will need to download OpenVPN UDP/TCP configuration assigned to your server and store files according to your package configuration. Normally you will find it on following path: C:\Program Files\OpenVPN\config.

9Check if OpenVPN is running and close application.
Find the OpenVPN GUI icon on your desktop and right-click it to bring up a context menu. Select Run as Administrator. If a User Account Control prompt appears, click Continue.

Now, on the toolbar, you should see a symbol for OpenVPN, right click on the symbol with the mouse, choose server you want to connect if you added multiple configurations in your "config" directory and click Connect.

You will be asked for username and password combination. Please enter correct values:

To disconnect, just right click on the OpenVPN server you where connected (if you have multiple configurations) and/or just select Disconnect.
